Thinking of You with "Wetlands"

One of my all time favorite Stampin'Up! sets is "Wetlands."  It's probably because it reminds me of being at the beach!

This layout is super simple.  I had seen a lot of these types of cards on Pinterest using the swoosh from the "Work of Art" stamp set.  On my sample, I used the swoosh from a new stamp set called "Sheltering Tree" that's in the occasions mini catalog.  I started using the swoosh inked with Sahara Sand ink, alternating the stamp by stamping on the left, re-inking, flipping the stamp over and butting it up along the first stamped image.  Then I cleaned the stamp, and did the same thing using Soft Sky ink.  This gives you the appearance of a shoreline.  The birds and sentiment were then stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  How simple is that??

The Whisper White layer (2-3/4" x 4") was then adhered to a layer of Basic Black cardstock (3" x 4-1/4")  On the right hand side of this layer, I stapled a piece of black baker's twine and tied a small bow.  The card base is a normal A2 sized card, and the layer of Sahara Sand cardstock measures 4" x
5-1/4" and was run through the Zig Zag embossing folder.  After adhering the Sahara Sand layer, I attached the focal image to the card front using dimensionals.

This card would make a great masculine card, sympathy, or get well.

I hope you find some time to be creative today!
