Beautiful Sympathy Card

Hello stampers...
Today's card features a new stamp set called "Wild About Flowers."  The sentiments are from one of my favorite sets called "Thoughts and Prayers."  Luckily that set didn't retire and is still available.
I found this beautiful layout on   I made the card front exactly like Dawn did, only using a different sentiment and the new Washi Label punch.  I had no idea how Dawn had decorated the inside, so I just added an additional panel inside to mimic the card front.  This layout could easily be used for many occasions by changing the sentiments.
The card base is a normal A2 sized card in Sahara Sand.  The three panels on front measure 1-5/8" x 3-7/8" in Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Soft Sky.  The flower images were stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.  The panels were then adhered to a piece of white cardstock measuring
4" x 5-1/4".   I wrapped linen thread around it and tied in a bow, securing with a glue dot underneath. The sentiment on front was popped with dimensionals.   The inside liner measures 4" x 5-1/4" and the Soft Sky panel measures the same as the front panels.
Hope you find some time for yourself to be creative today!

Easy balloon birthday card

Hello stampers...
I found this super quick card on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  She is a fantastic stamper and always has wonderful instructional videos on her blog.

For this balloon card I used a new In-Color called "Watermelon Wonder"
for the cardstock and ink.  Jennifer cut her balloons with a die cut set from Avery Elle called "Custom Panels Die."  She explained in her video you could always achieve the same effect with tracing around a plate or bowl.

I cut the cardstock pieces and sprayed with "Glitter Dust" in iridescent.  I purchased it on-line at JoAnn's, but I believe it's available in the store.  It is a great glitter and doesn't rub off.

The little closure on the balloon was cut free-hand.  The balloon was attached with foam dimensional strips, and I tied the black baker's twine around the end of the balloon and attached with a foam dimensional - tucking it underneath the edge of the balloon.  To make the balloon appear to be floating, add tiny drops of Tombow liquid glue to the card front and attach the string.  Easy peasy!
Jennifer said she whipped up 5 of these cards in about 25 minutes.  (She cut all her cardstock at once, sprayed them all at once, etc. in order to save time.)

The sentiment is from a new hostess set called "Happy Birthday, Everyone" in the new 2015-2016 catalog.  The base of Whisper White cardstock measures 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2".  I would suggest doing all your stamping prior to attaching the balloons in case you mess up!    The balloons would also work well with DSP, textured cardstock, or just plain cardstock.   Use whatever you have on hand.

Have a great day, and hope you find some time to stamp!
