Easy balloon birthday card

Hello stampers...
I found this super quick card on Jennifer McGuire's blog.  She is a fantastic stamper and always has wonderful instructional videos on her blog.

For this balloon card I used a new In-Color called "Watermelon Wonder"
for the cardstock and ink.  Jennifer cut her balloons with a die cut set from Avery Elle called "Custom Panels Die."  She explained in her video you could always achieve the same effect with tracing around a plate or bowl.

I cut the cardstock pieces and sprayed with "Glitter Dust" in iridescent.  I purchased it on-line at JoAnn's, but I believe it's available in the store.  It is a great glitter and doesn't rub off.

The little closure on the balloon was cut free-hand.  The balloon was attached with foam dimensional strips, and I tied the black baker's twine around the end of the balloon and attached with a foam dimensional - tucking it underneath the edge of the balloon.  To make the balloon appear to be floating, add tiny drops of Tombow liquid glue to the card front and attach the string.  Easy peasy!
Jennifer said she whipped up 5 of these cards in about 25 minutes.  (She cut all her cardstock at once, sprayed them all at once, etc. in order to save time.)

The sentiment is from a new hostess set called "Happy Birthday, Everyone" in the new 2015-2016 catalog.  The base of Whisper White cardstock measures 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2".  I would suggest doing all your stamping prior to attaching the balloons in case you mess up!    The balloons would also work well with DSP, textured cardstock, or just plain cardstock.   Use whatever you have on hand.

Have a great day, and hope you find some time to stamp!
