Baby card with scraps

Good morning.....
Today's card was made with scraps on my desk.  I just love it when that works out!  The layout was in our latest edition of our "Stampin'Success" magazine for demonstrators.  However I just tweaked it a bit to step it up a notch.

The DSP is a retired print from Sale-a-bration waaaay back in the day when I started selling SU. Since I'm a hoarder, I still had scraps laying around (plus an un-opened pack also.)  See....HOARDER!!!!    Anyway, the DSP layer measures 3-3/4
" square, then I put a 3/4" strip of coordinating DSP on the bottom.  This layer was then attached to a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4".

The stamps used are from a set called "Tin of Cards" and were stamped using Sahara Sand ink.  I wrapped a little white baker's twine around the layer, then attached it to the card front with foam dimensionals.  I secured the bow with the glue dot underneath.  Now how easy was that, and such a sweet little card for a sweet little someone?

Hope you find some creative time for yourself!

Ice cream anyone?

Hello stampers!
I found today's design by Linda Heller at  I loved how it just looked like summer, and made me want to eat ice cream!

The stamp set I used is "Sprinkles of Life" which is our Ronald McDonald House set for Stampin'Up! this year.  For every set sold, SU donate's $3.00 to RMH.  And there's a matching punch, so how cool is that?

The colors used were Mint Macaron, Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder, and Hello Honey.  The ink used was Early Espresso.  The card base and oval were cut out of Kraft cardstock.  I used our new Elegant Dots embossing folder on the oval. (Linda had used our new corrugated paper in the catalog.)   The strip of DSP is 2" wide, and the strip of Mint Macaron is 1/2" wide.

Have a great day, and thanks for looking!

I loved the cute paperclip with the flag hanging from it.  So easy to make with a 3/4" strip of DSP and a tiny stapler.  Super cute!!  I secured it with a glue dot underneath.

altered paper clips

Good morning!
I found a video on YouTube by "Babytweetums" where she makes these darling paper clips. Love them!

All it takes is the bow builder punch, the scalloped oval punch, a large paper clip, bone folder,   Tombow glue, glue dots, and a glue pen.  The DSP is part of last year's paper stacks that retired.  This project is a great way to use up scraps.

Now I just need to find a creative way to use them!  I know they would add a little pizazz to my office paperwork!  Maybe I would even enjoy filing.....but I doubt it.  ha ha!!

Hello Baby card

Hello stampers...
Long post.....
It's been crazy busy around here, so not much stamping has been going on.  :(

Today's card is to celebrate a new mom-to-be, or it could be used for a baby shower card also. I found a similar design on Pinterest, and made my own template with graph paper.  It was pretty easy to then trace it on DSP, add a ribbon, then glue it to a normal sized A2 card front before trimming.

The stamp set used just retired and is called "Little Sunshine."  The paper is a retired DSP in Blushing Bride.
I added a glue dot under the bow, and popped the word bubble up with dimensionals.
Hope you like it!
Happy stamping!!
